Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
GATE Express Carwash collects information you provide directly to us, including:
- Contact information (name, email address, phone number)
- Membership and billing information (payment method, billing address)
- Vehicle information (license plate, vehicle type)
- Service preferences and location selections
- Communications and customer service inquiries
We also automatically collect certain information when you interact with our website and services, including IP address, browser type, referring URL, and usage data. Some of this information is collected through cookies and similar technologies that we load only after you consent (see Section 4).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process and manage your membership and transactions
- Provide customer service and respond to inquiries
- Send promotional materials and service updates (with your consent)
- Improve our website and services
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
- Detect and prevent fraud and security issues
- Analyze usage patterns and trends
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share information with:
- Service providers who assist in operating our website and services
- Payment processors to handle transactions
- Law enforcement when required by law
- Successor entities in case of merger or acquisition
- Analytics and mapping providers (Google Analytics, Google Maps, and OpenStreetMap), but only when you consent to those technologies as described in Section 4
4. Cookies, Tracking, and Your Consent
When you first visit our website, we display a consent banner. Until you make a choice, we do not load any non-essential or third-party technology, and no third party receives your IP address or browsing data through our site. You can change your choices at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the website footer.
We group these technologies into the following categories:
Strictly necessary
First-party files required for the website to function — page content, styles, self-hosted fonts, and the consent tool itself. They do not track you and are always active.
Analytics (requires your consent)
With your consent, we load Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site in aggregate. Google Analytics sets cookies and shares certain information — including your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you view — with Google. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded.
Maps and external content (requires your consent)
Our location pages can display interactive maps from Google Maps, and our locations directory uses OpenStreetMap map tiles (via the Leaflet library). Loading these maps shares your IP address with Google and/or OpenStreetMap. If you decline, the maps are replaced with a placeholder and load only when you choose to view them; you can still see addresses and get directions without loading an embedded map.
We do not currently use advertising or social-media tracking pixels (such as Meta/Facebook, LinkedIn, or TikTok), session or live-chat recording, or third-party video tracking. If we add any such technology in the future, we will update this policy and add it to the consent banner before it is used.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, although disabling some cookies may limit website functionality.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong passwords and protect your account information.
6. Your Rights
California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected and used
- Delete personal information collected from you
- Opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information
- Non-discrimination for exercising CCPA rights
Florida Privacy Rights
Florida residents may have additional rights under Florida privacy laws. You may request access to or deletion of personal information by contacting us as described below.
7. Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information and terminate the child's account.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
9. Review & Feedback Program (Smart Review Funnel)
DRAFT — GATE legal to review. This section describes a new first-party review and feedback program and is provided for legal review. It is not legal advice.
When you scan a QR code at one of our locations or open our review page, you can rate your most recent visit and, if you wish, send a private note to that location’s management team. Because this program is first-party only and loads no third-party trackers, no separate cookie-consent banner is required for it — but we still disclose what we collect here.
What we collect
- The star rating you select (1–5).
- First-party interaction analytics tied to the location, a timestamp, and a randomly generated session identifier — for example, that the review page was opened, that a rating was selected, and whether the “Leave a Google Review” button was tapped. We do not use third-party cookies, pixels, or trackers on the review page.
- If you choose to send private feedback: your message, and — only if you provide them — your name and contact details.
If you allow it, the review page can use your device’s location to sort our locations by distance. This happens entirely in your browser to order the list — your precise location is not collected, stored, or sent to us or to any third party.
Why we collect it
To understand and improve the program in aggregate, and to follow up on and resolve service issues (“service recovery”). The public “Leave a Google Review” option is offered equally to every customer at every rating; private feedback is an optional supplement, never a substitute for or a barrier to leaving a public review.
How it is shared
- This information is processed on our behalf by Grow Wild Agency, acting as GATE’s service provider/processor.
- Private feedback is routed to the relevant GATE location’s site manager and assistant manager so they can respond.
- If you choose to leave a public Google review, that review is submitted to and governed by Google under Google’s own terms and privacy policy. That step is entirely your choice.
No sale, retention, and your choices
We do not sell this information. We retain review and feedback data only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify it. You may request access to or deletion of your feedback using the contact details below.
Note for legal review: please confirm the applicability of the Florida Digital Bill of Rights and other U.S. state privacy laws given our multi-state customers, the point-of-collection notice requirements for the optional name/contact information (PII), and the processor / Data Processing Agreement (DPA) posture between GATE Express Carwash and Grow Wild Agency.
